This soft, cuddly little guy combines a range of four low frequency sounds, including actual womb and heart beat noise, together with a calming warm pink glow to create a soothing environment to quickly lull a baby to sleep.

The heartbeat and womb sounds are actual recordings, not computer generated, and have been proven to have a calming effect on even the most unsettled baby. Vacuum cleaner, rain and harp recordings together with the womb sequence provide four different calming soundtracks to choose from and all are combined with mum's resting heartbeat to provide extra reassurance.

Ewan can be used with babies from birth - he has a velcro tail so that he can be suspended from the bars of a crib or cot -  and his soundtracks play for twenty minutes each... Just long enough to get baby to sleep. He's beautifully made and his battery pack is hidden away inside his tummy, away from baby. Each soundtrack is activated by pressing a button in each paw and you can choose to play the soundtracks on a quiet or loud setting.

My mom and dad bought Ewan for our little baby and I can't wait for him/her to meet him! I think it's just the most wonderful baby gift and I know I'll definitely be buying him for my friends. What do you think of him? Would you buy him for your little one?

In my last post I wrote about a food photography and styling workshop I was looking forward to attending in London. Well, the date arrived and I made my way across the water for a couple of days last week. And, it was amazing! This is the very first photo I took at the workshop. Our little baby is 8 weeks old now :-) I can't believe how quick the weeks are flying by. Today I want to tell you all about the best baby items we've been using over the last eight weeks. A new chapter

As many of you already know, it has been a tough couple of months in our house. In December I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had noticed a lump in one of my breasts and when it hadn't gone away after a couple of weeks, I went to get it checked out. I was convinced it was a blocked milk duct as I was still breastfeeding our baby - but unfortunately it was not and after some very stressful days waiting for test results, we were delivered the devastating news that it was cancer. It was an enormous shock for my husband and I, our family and our friends. The days and weeks following my initial diagnosis were the worst of my life and it was, without a doubt, only the love and strength of our family and friends and our beautiful baby boy that pulled me out of that darkness.
